| Dale Carnegie Customer Service Institute |
 |
The Customer Service Institute was created as a result of the Keeping Business on Staten Island Campaign, where many Islanders voiced their concern over poor service in the Borough's stores and service businesses. In fact according to our survey, poor customer service was listed in the top three reasons Staten Islanders do not shop on Staten Island. (Number one was "sales tax on clothing and shoes", which has since then been eliminated, and number two was "store is not located on Staten Island.")
In response to the survey results, the Business Council decided to create a Customer Service Institute - where local service and retail businesses can send their employees to enhance their customer relations. After researching various customer service consultants, the Business Council decided to hire the Dale Carnegie Training Institute for the workshops. |
